Laura van Geel

Laura van Geel is a senior sustainability professional with a background in public health. Prior to joining WBCSD as a Senior Manager Agriculture & Food, she worked with Unilever for 15 years in various functions. Starting in the Nutrition & Health department, she supported amongst the public private partnership of Unilever with the World Food Program. Thereafter she worked in London as a Global Sustainability Manager, and was part of the core team in the rollout of the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan. For the last 8 years she worked as the first Social Mission Manager for Ben & Jerry’s in the Benelux, where she led the agenda for social and climate justice as part of the company’s 3 part mission. Over the past years she led over a dozen of national initiatives and campaigns, many still recurring and ongoing. Laura holds an MSc cum laude from the University of Amsterdam and a Post Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge.
