Immaculate A. Nyaugo

Immaculate is an accomplished Public Health, Nutrition and Food Systems technical specialist with a vast of knowledge and extensive experience in human nutrition, food systems/Agri-nutrition, environmental hygiene, and sanitation (WASH), policy formulation, strategies and guidelines development and implementation. Currently the country lead on Food Culture Alliance and supporting other GAIN projects’ technically. She has focused on multi-sectoral coordination approach and partner development and has built the capacity of civil society organizations in Kenya on nutrition and food systems structures. Immaculate has extensive experience providing comprehensive nutrition support to central government and donor-funded projects in private and public sectors, supporting project start-up’s, establishing and updating institutional operations systems, developing annual work plans and strategic implementation approaches, providing support supervision to a multicultural staff, developing systems to evaluate project performance, and providing appropriate intervention approaches thus improving on results and positive impacts. Immaculate holds MSc in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Nairobi and bachelor’s in food and Nutrition from University of Eastern Africa.
